What a fun time was had by all. Holy Trinity was packed with families to celebrate the meaning of Christingle
- The orange represents the world.
- The red ribbon (or tape) symbolises the love and blood of Christ.
- The sweets and dried fruit represent all of God’s creations.
- The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.
Rev Juliet had to pop to the shop to get more Oranges and came back as one herself.
Toby took over the service whilst she was gone and what a great job he did cracking some really funny jokes. We enlisted 10 helpers from our primary school and Jasmine who was recently baptised at Holy Trinity to light the way with Christingle oranges. Each child was given a party bag so they could go home and make their own Christingle. They even took some home for their families and friends.
We have plenty left over so we will be giving them out at our Nativity Service at 4pm on Christmas Eve where we will all be rocking up in our PJ’s, Onesies and Oodies.
